Less Lethal Self Defense

Women ages 18-24 are at a higher risk of sexual assault. Do NOT become a victim!

A highly recommended course designed for women, by a woman, for those who cannot or do not wish to carry a firearm for self-protection.  For women who DO carry, having more than one tool in your tool box for self-defense is crucial.  The goal of this 3-hour course is to leave women feeling empowered and confident in their abilities to detect and deter potential attacks.

This course will begin by discussing statistics about women and crime; looking at the details surrounding arguably the most comprehensive study done about women who are victims of crimes, why women might become targets to potential criminals. Many women do not realize that the way they carry themselves while in public may scream “I’m an easy victim” to a criminal.  With the statistics in mind, we will move on to understanding situational awareness.

Lastly, we will discuss the various types of less lethal self defense products that are available, including stun guns (and what to look for in a stun gun), pepper spray, and less lethal weapons, in addition to touching on basics of self defense.
